The first online workshop with i Japanese partners was held in December 2021.
The meeting followed the meeting on line of 11 October 2021 with the aim of exchanging knowledge of international programs of smart city among the six partner cities of RUGGEDISED - lighthouse cities: Rotterdam, Umea and Glasgow, and follower cities: Gdansk, Parma and Brno and three smart cities in Japan.
In addition to the Municipality of Parma and Infomobility, ISINNOVA, the city of Rotterdam, Umea, Tamana City participated. The focus of the event was exchange of best practices and of planning developed and ongoing in the three cities under consideration.
In particular, attention was focused on two specific issues: the citizen participation and involvement in the various activities and the different forms of sustainable mobility.
In the first case there was talk of a active involvement of people with a discussion on specific issues, problems, solutions, opportunities and cooperation between R & I, industry and institutions.
Through the MIRO platform Group work was then carried out with all the partners in which the strengths and weaknesses of the various activities implemented in the cities under comparison were analyzed.
From the exchange of information, tips and new ideas emerged for one continuation of smart projects already started in the urban environment.
The workshop was a good starting point to also verify important results for each city, key strategies for successful projects, recommendations, mistakes not to be repeated and possible cooperation programs.
